Al Gore and UN IPCC win Nobel Peace Prize PDF Print E-mail
By Andy Mannle | Friday, 12 October 2007

The New York Times reports that Al Gore and the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have been awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their work in spreading awareness about global warming, and preparing the world to deal with man-made climate change. In its citation, the Nobel Committee wrote that Gore "is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted."
